Delta WASP 2040 Industrial X
The new version of the industrial line: INDUSTRIAL X, uses the new Zen X dual extruder with double gears which double the wire-pressure in the melting area and triple the motor torque. This revolutionary system has allowed WASP to place the filament drivers externally; in this way, the printing speed and the temperature inside the chamber are improved. With Wasp's new technology the Delta WASP 2040 INDUSTRIAL X has a heated chamber and cold mechanics that makes printing technical materials even easier.
Hot & Cold Technology
The Industrial X in the Wasp Industrial Line is one of their first printers to have a heated enclosed chamber, and with an efficient way of heating the chamber by two internal heat sources, you can achieve work temperatures of up to 80°C. The Delta WASP 2040 INDUSTRIAL X has an innovative air cooling system that keeps the temperatures below the critical threshold of cladding materials.
Delta Geometric System & Suspended Bowden System
The signature feature of WASP’s 3D printer line is its combination of the Delta Geometric System with its Suspended Bowden System. Other FDM 3D printers work on the Cartesian System providing an x, y, and zed axis. WASP’s 3D printers use the Delta Geometric System, which consists of 3 main arms connecting to the extruder, which move up and down independently. The position of the extruder is estimated by using trigonometric functions. This causes the vector of movement to be more precise as inertia is intrinsically lowered.
ZEN X Dual Extruder
The ZEN X Dual Extruder fitted to the Industrial X is the solution for a faster and accurate double extrusion 3D print. Double extruder that mounts two separate nozzles configurable according to the used material; for mono or double-material prints that may require different printing temperatures or different nozzle diameters; to print complex shapes with supports. Possible fittings: High-durability silicon nitride ruby nozzles.
Flex Extruder
This flexible extruder is designed to extrude 3mm diameter filaments (up to shore 50A) to allow the use of flexible materials. Take advantage of “direct drive” extrusion technology enabling fast and accurate printing with enabled retraction. This extruder can be swapped with the Red Spitfire extruder whenever you need to use it. This Extruder is not compatible with the Zen Dual X Extruder.
Interchangeable Nozzles & Tools
You can use interchanging nozzles to achieve different results. Nozzles are heated for optimal extrusion of polymeric filaments or kept cold for semi-fluid materials. All extruders can easily be exchanged in one minute and can be done so mid-print. There are different nozzle sizes and types for different temperatures.
Resurrection System
A recovery process useful for clay and prototyping which gives you the ability to start printing from anywhere within the 3D print’s instructions. It allows you to print a file on your Delta WASP 2040 INDUSTRIAL X starting from a precise height of the model, as long as the height was previously selected. Essentially giving you the ability to print the one half of your design and then begin a new print of the second half, etc.
Free Zed System

Essentially giving you the ability to print the one half of your design and then begin a new print of the second half, etc.
Accelerated Speed
The Delta WASP 2040 INDUSTRIAL X possesses markedly increased speed and acceleration to comparable price machines in the market. With a print speed max of 500 mm/s, a maximum travel speed of 1000 mm/s, and a maximum acceleration speed of 15.000 mm/s2, the Delta WASP 2040 INDUSTRIAL X significantly reduces your print production time without compromising on precision, accuracy, or quality.
Integrated End-Filament Sensor
The End-Filament Sensor is a built-in feature on the Delta WASP 2040 INDUSTRIAL X, which senses when the end of the filament is near. This prevents pauses in your prints and increases production speed.
User Friendly Interface
The Delta WASP 2040 INDUSTRIAL X offers a new 32 bit industrial quality proprietary board for improved speed, an LCD Display, built-in Wi-Fi and SD Card compatibility for easy accessibility and control. It is also compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. File extensions include: .stl, .gcode, .obj.
